Mission Prayer Group
Join us every-other Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM to pray for our mission team, our church, and those we are sending into the field with our resources.
Faith Promise Missions
Choices for Women Resource Center
Old Capitol is proud to work with Choices for Women to support practical help for families facing unplanned pregnancies. If you would like to learn more about this mission, please visit Choice for Women.
We are proud to be supporting Liason International as they begin a new evangleistic ministry into Turkey. While working with the existing Church, they will be taking the Gospel into unreached and even hostile areas. Hundreds of people have come to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ because of their influence.
Old Capitol has already been present in this unreached area of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. We have seen the need of the people, but also the ripe harvest of those who need Jesus Christ in their lives. We will continue to partner with our hosts and indigenous missionaries in the area. We hope that we can continue the vision of a community center and orphanage at Wazo Hill. These projects will be the vehicle by which the Gospel is presented to the people.
With Louisville being a hub for refugees arriving to America, God has given us a unique opportunity to witness to an unreached people group that is in our own backyard. Our funds go to support work being done with these refugees, but we also encourage hands-on contact with refugees as welcoming teams and points of Christian contact with people who desperately need someone to love them in a new country. https://www.refugeintl.org/Louisville/
Community Service Weekly Donation
Please see the bulletin each Sunday to know what to bring. Not sure what to bring? Don't worry. You can always bring any of the following: can of fruit, can of vegetables, jar of peanut butter, jar of jelly, package of Ramen Noodles, box of spaghetti, jar of spaghetti sauce, box of macaroni & cheese, or a bag of dry beans.

Methodist Mountain Mission
The Mountain Mission truck picks up donations at our church regularly throughout the year. We have always had a good showing of donations of gently used clothing and household items. These go to provide items to families in need in eastern Kentucky (one of the poorest areas of our country). http://www.methodistmountainmission.org/index.html
India Inland Missions
Any who heard Ajay speak of what God is doing in India will certainly remember the miracles and amazing grace that God is pouring out on this mission. http://inlandmission.org/
You never know when some wonderful mission opportunity will become available throughout the year. We plan on God involving us in some great things, both locally and throughout the World. We plan on God surprising us.

Habitat for Humanity
At Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, we build communities, we build hope and we build the opportunity for families to help themselves. https://www.habitat.org
This mission is dedicated to addressing the issue of homeless families in Harrison County. Through providing a place to stay, opportunities to gain financial independence, Christian mentoring, and the love of Christ, individuals and families have the potential to work their way out of the homeless situation in which they are found. https://www.434ministries.org/
Student Christian Fellowship
SCF is a campus ministry at the Universities of Evansville and Southern Indiana. Their mission is to make disciples who not only impact campus during the college years, but that continue to impact their cities and even other nations five, ten, or fifteen years after graduation. SCF has weekly large group gatherings at both UE and USI called FOCUS. College campuses often promote a lifestyle and belief system that is contrary to Christianity. Our partnership with SCF enables us to join the fight to bring truth and light to college-age men and women.
Brad and Vicki McKinney
Brad and Vicki have been active members of Old Capitol for over a year and believe they are being called into full-time missions. We, as a church, have made a commitment to send them out (Act 13:1-3) to the unreached people of this world who have little or no opportunity to hear the Gospel in accordance with Jesus' command to "Go and make disciples of all nations..."(Matt 28:18-20). We, the church, will be supporting them in prayer, friendship, pastoral care, finances, and receiving them as they return.
National Mission Trip
As a church we attempt to have at least one opportunity for youth and adults to serve in a mission trip to an area outside of our local community. Often such a trip is funded through special fundraising events by the team going on the mission trip. However, at times the Faith Promise Mission program helps to provide funds to supplement what is raised.
Catania Refugee Crisis
Shane Bennett has spoken to our congregation several times in the past. His mission is to bring the gospel to the thousands of refugees fleeing from countries to Italy. Many of these refugees are Muslim or from an unreached people group, making it a unique opportunity to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them.
